Patriotized Inebriation

From victims of neocon chickenhawks' swindling of the country...to props for selling Midwestern made-from-genuine-American-soul beer.

The US Army. Taking it up the a** since forever.

Just bring the troops home.

I saw this commercial for the first time today and, while it was probably moving and meaningful for a lot of people, the Budweiser logo at the end erased any positivity it drummed up in the first place.

My other thought was that there were an assload of women and minorities portrayed in the armed forces, but that's probably true.

I should write a post on the most ignored holiday meanings in the U.S. Like how Memorial Day for most people, instead of being a day to reflect on the sacrifices made by the fallen in wartime, is the unofficial start of summer and time to dust off the ol' Weber.

MLK, Jr. Day (Ski Trip) has gotta be up there. Also, President's Day ("Do we get one day off or two??"), Christmas Day and the granddaddy of 'em all...Cinco de Corona advertisement Mayo. Drunken Frat Boys unite!!
