I just stumbled upon this old story from FORTUNE magazine about Al Gore joining top Venture Capital firm, Kleiner Perkins, as a partner to help invest in "green" companies. KP is a top-tier Silicon Valley VC that has previously invested in Netscape, Amazon, Sun Microsystems and Google.
